Kinship
Support Center
FSSY sponsors
twice-monthly peer support meetings for grandparents and other
relative caregivers who are raising children; at these meetings,
important information about available social services and other
relevant issues is presented. Kinship caregivers also
participate in additional social and recreational activities.

Community for All Ages (CFAA)
FSSY, in
collaboration with Yonkers Museum School 25, The Yonkers VIVE
School and a consortium of
area organizations, sponsors an intergenerational program
designed to improve students’ behavior problems and to foster
better understanding between youth and older adults.

GrandPower Advocacy Project
FSSY sponsors
advocacy programs for grandparents and other relative caregivers
who are raising children. Our Advocates work with local,
regional and state legislators, and county and state government
agencies to improve financial and social service benefits for
kinship caregivers.
